Real
journalists
behind
diskmags?
Diskmags are extended like coca-cola.
Diskmags are in fashion. Each day
diskmags born and die. But have you
ever started to think about their
creators? Or you simply forgot the
people behind that nice releases?
Yes? Well, doesn't matter! That's
why I choose this topic to write
about...
To start somewhere, I'd like to
introduce you some diskmag-producers.
Just listen to the names and please
try to remember them:
Wolfman of Balance
Playboy of Static Bytes
Fester of Absolute!
Jean of Absolute!
Okay, I know that it's not a huge
list, but I don't know more examples
right know. What kind of examples?
So among that four names three are
well known, as professional
journalists' signature. Wolfman,
Playboy and Jean are already working
for real magazines. I must ask the
question: Wasn't it useful for them
to write in a diskmag, to practice
their future job before being
professionals? Isn't it a great
possibility to earn some experiments?
Fester is also in close relationship
with journalism, as a matter of fact
his father is working for an
interesting and popular hungarian
magazine. The Eurocharts, the
Upstream and the Sledge Hammer, three
let's say important mags are based on
those persons knowledge. And there
are a whole lot more people who write
for both disk-, and real mags.
I hope you share me opinion about that
new discovered advantage of diskmags.
It works on both ways, it's good for
professionals, because they can write
about everything they want and surely
it's good for the journalists of the
future. I try to ask more diskmag
producers about that, and hopefully we
will see the answer of the following
question: Are real journalist making
the scene mags nowadays?
